Lamination
Lamination is the most effective way to protect your large format prints, posters and signs from wear, moisture and UV fading. A thin laminate film is applied to the surface, providing extra durability without compromising colour quality.
XL Print offers lamination in several variants: gloss laminate for maximum colour depth, matt laminate for a glare-free surface, and textured laminate (canvas, brushed etc.) for a tactile dimension. Lamination can be applied to both flexible and rigid materials.
We laminate everything from individual prints to large runs and offer both cold and hot lamination depending on the material type. Lamination is essential for prints that need to last in demanding environments, outdoors, in high-traffic shops or on floor surfaces.
Laminate type: PET- or PVC-based laminate film in thicknesses from 25 to 200 microns
Finish: Gloss, matt, satin, anti-reflective or textured (canvas, sand, brushed)
Application: Cold or hot lamination depending on substrate
UV protection: All laminates contain a UV filter for extended colour retention
XL Print uses laminates with low VOC emissions and offers PVC-free alternatives for environmentally conscious customers. We optimise material consumption and minimise waste in the lamination process.
For temporary campaigns, we recommend thinner laminates that reduce the total material quantity without compromising protection during the planned period of use.
