Sunshine Print — When the Sun Drives Business
In the summer of 2024, XL Print got solar cells on the roof. Our print production is now partly powered by power from our own photovoltaic system. In fact, we are 100% self-sufficient if we could harness all the power we produce.
By choosing XL Print, you are choosing a supplier that actively contributes to a greener future. Our solar panel system produce clean, renewable energy, which reduces our CO2 emissions.
Certified according to ISO 14001
ISO 14001 is an international environmental management system that helps companies map and improve their environmental impact. We are certified — this means, among other things, that environmental work is part of our daily operations, not just an ambition.
The standard requires us to take responsibility for the impact our company has on the environment. It includes life cycle assessments of our products and a holistic perspective from supplier to customer.
We follow the Graphic CSR Code
The Graphic CSR Code reflects the requirements that customers of graphic products can reasonably place on a supplier — no matter where in the world it is traded.
Sustainability in production
Our large format production is certified to UL 2818 Gold Standard for chemical emissions. We only use environmentally certified paper, recyclable packaging material and energy-efficient equipment. Every step of our production is carefully thought out to minimise the impact on the environment.
We are committed to reducing the use of PVC in production.
Today we are below 30% — and we are proud of that. We work every day to advise our customers on environmentally friendly alternatives by providing information about better or equally good products, but which have a much better impact on the environment.
How to Reduce Our Environmental Footprint
Every decision in our production process takes into account the impact on our planet. We have built sustainability into the foundation of what we do.
Renewable energy powers our facility
Solar panels and battery reduce our dependence on traditional energy sources.
Water savings in our printing processes
We practically do not use water in our production, but we do have a treatment plant that removes lime and minerals in our water, which we use for our humidification plant.
Minimal use of chemicals
All chemistry is sent to the proper authorities for recycling or proper destruction.
Circular circuit materials
Our cardboard sheets and acrylics are sent back to the supplier for recycling — up to 6 times for Reboard cardboard.
PVC-free options
We offer a growing range of PVC-free foils and are working purposefully to find even more alternatives.
Recycling of surplus materials
All excess materials from production are sent for recycling.
Proven sustainability
We use recognized tools and certifications to measure and document our environmental efforts.
